Ryan Molli, D.O.
Whole Health Orthopedic Institute
Originally from Meadville, Pennsylvania, Dr. Molli came to Erie to pursue his undergraduate degree at Mercyhurst University before continuing on to medical school at the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM).

After medical school, Dr. Molli completed a five-year orthopedic surgery residency in the Metro-Detroit area through the St. John-Providence Health System, followed by an intense one-year fellowship in Adult Reconstruction and Total Joint surgery in Columbus, Ohio. He then spent nearly five years in private practice in the Metro-Detroit area before returning to his Pennsylvania hometown in 2015.

Motivated by his vision of delivering the highest-quality, patient-centered orthopedic care, Dr. Molli founded Whole Health Orthopedic Institute, which has since grown into a successful practice with locations in Meadville and Erie County. His work emphasizes exceptional surgical and post-surgical care, unparalleled pre-operative preparation and education, and risk stratification with medical optimization, creating THE Orthopedic Journey™, which has become a nationally recognized Total Joint Center of Excellence.

In addition to caring for patients, Dr. Molli is an internationally recognized consultant, lecturer, and surgical proctor, training surgeons across the United States, Europe, Canada, Asia, Africa, and Australia in advanced procedures such as direct anterior hip replacement and patient-specific knee surgeries. He is one of only four global designers of the Medacta MOTO Partial Knee Replacement system, introduced in 2018, and has contributed to numerous research projects and peer-reviewed publications. Dr. Molli also hosts two podcasts: one highlighting local legends and community success stories, and another that explores the challenges and solutions for sustaining private medical practices in today’s healthcare landscape.

Beyond medicine, Dr. Molli is a dedicated philanthropist. Along with his close friend Travis Buzzell, he co-founded Do Good Inc., a nonprofit organization that provides meals, school supplies, toys, bicycles, and family support to thousands of children and families in the Meadville and Erie communities. Through his professional and charitable endeavors, Dr. Molli has exemplified a life of compassion and service.

He is also deeply grateful to his parents, Garold and Connie Molli, who raised him and his three older sisters with strong Christian values, the importance of hard work, persistence, grit, and perseverance, and a deep commitment to volunteerism and community service. Their example continues to shape his life and mission today.

Yet, when asked about his greatest accomplishments, Dr. Molli is quick to point to his family. He is most proud to be a husband to his wife, Karen, who supports him daily in both his personal and professional missions, and together they are blessed with three sons, Anthony, Santino, and Luca. He considers the privilege of watching their boys grow into strong young Christian men to be far more meaningful than any professional title or accolade. He finds joy in coaching their boys in basketball, baseball, and flag football, and in sharing their progress both academically and athletically.

He also treasures time spent outdoors, whether alone or with their boys—hunting during archery season, surrounded by God’s creation, or fishing together. For Dr. Molli, these moments of family, faith, and nature represent his true legacy.
