Dan Allison
Daniel C. Allison, MD, FACS, MBA, is an internationally recognized orthopedic surgeon specializing in advanced musculoskeletal surgical reconstruction. Dr. Allison received his medical degree with honor from Baylor College of Medicine and completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at University of Southern California+ LA County in Los Angeles, California, where he also underwent fellowship in musculoskeletal surgical oncology and pelvic reconstruction. He is currently an assistant professor of surgery and assistant director of orthopedic oncology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Associate Clinical Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at University of Southern California, and Co-Director of Pediatric Orthopedic Oncology at Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles (CHLA). Dr. Allison has published over 30 peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters and has given hundreds of lectures across America and the globe on the topic of advanced orthopedic surgical reconstruction. He is also a Commander in the Medical Corps of the U.S. Navy reserves and served a tour with a expeditionary combat medical unit in Iraq in 2018 as part of Operation Inherent Resolve.
Dr. Allison received his MBA from Rice University’s Jones School of Business. He is Chief Medical Officer of AiT Med Inc., a medical technology startup company focused on the electronic medical record and medical e-commerce through blockchain and artificial intelligence technology. He is co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of PRISMM Earth LLC, a pharmaceutical company focused on plant-based, non-narcotic alternatives to meet human wellness needs. Dr. Allison has been a consultant and designer for many international orthopedic surgical implant companies, with seven orthopedic implant systems completed or in development. Dr. Allison has been the senior surgical advisor and international key opinion leader (KOL) for Carbo-Fix Ltd. for the past 15 years and, along with Gregory Hairston, Dr. Allison developed their first distribution network in the United States. Carbo-Fix manufactures carbon fiber + PEEK implants for human skeletal fixation, is the only FDA approved manufacturer of its kind, and over the past 15 years has emerged to become the clear world leader in this field.
